Currents Of Garbage Patch
As you can see the yellow dots or specks are where the garbage patch is, also this picture shows the swirls of the currents in which it pulls all the garbage in. There is no way out from the currents so therefore they stay right in the middle.
The Garbage Patch
This video is truly the meaning of marine life suffering from the plastic in the great pacific garbage patch. All this plastic does not just effect the marine life but us also.

Penguins
Another major cause of ocean pollution are oil rigs and other boats that have many toxic chemicals on them. If those boats sink all of the chemicals spread through the ocean and as the animals breath in water they are also breathing in toxic chemicals.

Good Morning America Video
I found this video and thought it would be great to show everyone. People may think the plastic that gets thrown on the ground or down the drain which leads to the ocean, biodegrades but it does not. It just breaks down into smaller pieces.
Seals
This is what happens to most of the animals, fishermen, or other off sea things can leave nets and equipment in the ocean. These animals do get caught in the nets or equipment by having such small heads. Leading to them choking due to little or no help.
